Hi, we are ready to give you a live demo.

OR Door Sensors

The relationship between door movements and the air quality in the OR is evident. But how do you actively monitor door movements and create team awareness in a subtle manner?

Through its long term collaboration with hospitals to improve and monitor patient safety condtions, New Compliance developed a wireless OR door movement system designed specifically for the OR.

The number of door movements during a procedure can be an important contributor to the number of post-surgical site infections (SSIs). By monitoring the door movements awareness is created amongst medical staff, which will bring the number down. Which in turn improves air quality, patient safety and diminishes risks of SSI’s.

In addition, by becoming more aware of the number of door movements, the surgical team as a whole is stimulated to apply discipline and keep a clean environment in the OR. Door movements are therefore also a part in the OR Cockpit’s real-time patient safety grading.

The OR Door Sensors are:

Completely wireless
Easy to install
Medical grade and safety compliant
Maintained by NewCompliance

The door counters use very low intensity Wi-Fi signals and meet medical standards (IEC 60.601.1 & 2). No interference can take place with other medical equipment.

The correct functioning of the door counters is monitored daily by NewCompliance who also carries out preventive and corrective maintenance.
